Top 10 Practical & Essential Firefox 3 Add-ons

This is another of my Top 10 List to make your internet browsing more enjoable with Firefox 3. I've used them personally and I think they are essential add-ons that Firefox users should install on their browsers. Some descriptions are taken directly from the Firefox add-ons website:
1. PDF download - Use PDF Download to do whatever you like with PDF files on the Web. Regain control of them and eliminate browser problems, view PDFs directly in Firefox as HTML, and use the all-new Web-to-PDF toolbar to save and share Web pages as high-quality PDF files.

Why I like it: It allows me to avoid those times when you accidentally click on a link that points to a PDF file and Mozilla Firefox just hangs because it starts loading Adobe Acrobat into the browser. You can just choose to download the file first and read it after the download.

2. DownThemAll! - DownThemAll is all you can desire from a download manager: it features an advanced accelerator that increases speed up to 400% and it allows you to pause and resume downloads at any time.

Why I like it: Like it says in the description, it really pushes your download speeds to the top. Very useful for downloading big files like e-books, movies or software installers. Also has a lot of options for you to customize the way you download your files. You will never go back to the default Firefox downloader once you've tried DTA!

3. FoxClocks - FoxClocks lets you keep an eye on the time around the world - or just your local time - by putting small clocks in your statusbar. Choose from a set of useful time formats or create your own - custom formats are easy to create and very flexible.

Why I like it: This will be a great aid for those who want to keep up with their relatives from other countries, or for those who have work-at-home jobs and their bosses are

4. Cooliris - Cooliris transforms your browser into a visually stunning, lightning fast way to search and enjoy online photos, videos and more. Just launch Cooliris from the browser toolbar, and our unique "3D Wall" lets you zoom your way around thousands items on a single, ever-expansive wall. Or, to enjoy Cooliris on hundreds of supported sites such as Facebook, Google Images, YouTube, and Flickr, mouse over images on the site and click the Cooliris icon that appears.

Why I like it: I never thought there would be such an application with an amazing way to show internet images on a 3D-style gallery. Makes image and video searching a more enjoyable experience.

5. StumbleUpon Toolbar - StumbleUpon discovers web sites based on your interests, learns what you like and brings you more.

Why I like it: Once you've registered and checked all those topics that interest you, you just might find clicking the "Stumble!" button more than a hundred times a day. Fact is - it is very addicting for those who like to surf a lot and don't know where to look for sites that interests them. (If ever you have the toolbar already, why not click on the thumbs-up button to share this post with others!)

6. FireFTP - FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers. Along with transferring your files quickly and efficiently, FireFTP also includes more advanced features such as: directory comparison, syncing directories while navigating, SFTP, SSL encryption, search/filtering, integrity checks, remote editing, drag & drop, file hashing, and much more!

Why I like it: I don't have to open another bulky FTP program if I need to access files from an FTP server. Allows me to save the usernames and passwords for easy access to servers which require them. Can be set to automatically startup when you visit an FTP site. For me, it ranks better than other free FTP software.

7. TwitterFox -
8. AdBlockPlus
9. Stealther
10.
